Whyalla Jetty Lighting
Overview
Aquest is a leading provider of electrical solutions, we played a crucial role in this award-winning project. Responsible for the supply and installation of over 600 KLIK Handrail recessed LED lights, ensuring the jetty is beautifully illuminated. Additionally, we installed a new Jetty Distribution Board, 400 meters of underground supply cables, a pedestrian counter for data collection, and a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) cable ladder with stainless steel lids to protect the infrastructure from the harsh salt environment.

Project Scope
1. Supply and Installation of KLIK Handrail Recessed LED Lights
- Supply and install over 600 KLIK Handrail recessed LED lights.
- Ensure all lights are installed according to manufacturer specifications and local electrical standards.
- Conduct testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
2. Supply and Installation of New Jetty Distribution Board
- Supply and install a new Jetty Distribution Board.
- Ensure the distribution board is compliant with relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Perform all necessary testing and commissioning.
3. Installation of Underground Supply Cables
- Install underground supply cables over a distance of 400 meters from the existing Distribution panel to the new Jetty Distribution Board.
- Ensure cables are installed in compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Conduct testing to verify the integrity and functionality of the installation.
4. Installation of Pedestrian Counter
- Install a pedestrian counter for Whyalla City Council Data Collection.
- Ensure the counter is securely installed and integrated with the data collection system.
- Test the counter to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
5. Installation of FRP Cable Ladder
- Install a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) cable ladder with stainless steel lids to withstand the harsh salt environment.
- Mount the cable ladder beneath the jetty floor to enhance aesthetics and prevent unauthorized access.
- Ensure the installation is robust and compliant with safety standards.
