An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated Leading Hand HVAC and Refrigeration Technician based in Whyalla with an eagerness to develop and improve their skills. You will have the ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines, and possess great communication skills. You will be moving across various sites throughout the day whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake HVAC and Refrigeration preventative, reactive and planned maintenance within mining/Industrial, commercial and domestic environments.
  • Installation and fault finding on a diverse range of HVAC-R equipment within mining/Industrial, commercial and domestic environments.
  • Commercial installation projects.
  • On call roster / overtime where required.

 

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Refrigeration and HVAC trade qualification (preferably 2 years post trade).
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial, domestic and industrial refrigeration and HVAC.
  • Strong understanding of OHS&E policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and confidence in writing detailed service reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work to a defined schedule within tight deadlines.
  • ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence.
  • Restricted Electrical Workers Registration.
  • Full Drivers Licence (Car).
  • First Aid / CPR.
  • Construction Induction (White Card).
  • Honest and reliable personal qualities.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to safety and quality.

 

Desired but not essential

  • A-Class Electrical Licence.
  • Mining experience.
  • Commercial project experience.
